From an early age, I knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur. Although I have had many jobs working for other people, I always felt a little stifled by them and none of them ever brought me much job satisfaction. I knew that I was capable of creating my own company.
I’ve always been one of those people that just gets on with *it. If there was something I needed to do, I just ploughed in and kept going until I was finished.
There was never loads of faffing or talking it out until every option has been discussed and analysed, once I had a vague idea, I went for it and made up the rest as I went along.
Along the way, there were plentiful moments of doubt, despair, complete overwhelm, procrastination, and self-sabotage but I tried my hardest.
Sometimes it worked out well. Others… not so well.
I didn’t have a coach. I didn’t even know they existed nevermind that they could help me with it all. I just ploughed on alone and it has been a pretty lonely journey.
It wasn’t I had been running my own photography business for nearly a decade that I decided to change my life that I got my own coach. And what a bloody difference it makes. No more self-doubt, no more self-sabotage, solid plans for the future that are exciting and energising, far fewer mistakes, a sounding board for ideas and a team mate when I needed one the most.
My coaches helped me create a process of what was going on in my head and put it together as a course and a coaching programme that I now help my clients with. I found my purpose in life of helping others get through the mindset work that comes with being a creative and an entrepreneur.
I call it… Wait for it.
